It looks at the arrival of Christianity with the European settlers, and the role Church leaders played in the Apartheid regime. It looks at the effects the hosting of the World Cup tournament will have on the lives of the South African people. It examines the disparity in wealth between developed and developing countries and how this affects the daily life of children in South Africa, encouraging the children to compare and contrast with their own daily lives and research the work of children’s charities, culminating in fund-raising activities and donations to a nominated charity. |
